Rochester FC Named Soccer Partner in New Silver Lake Stadium Vision
Rochester FC Named Soccer Partner in Landmark Development's Vision for Silver Lake Power Plant Site
Club joins Honkers baseball and a new USHL team in proposed downtown sports district
ROCHESTER, MN — [Date] — Rochester FC (RFC) has been named the soccer partner in Landmark Development's proposed "ONE Rochester" sports and entertainment district, planned for the site of the former Silver Lake Power Plant along the Zumbro River.
The announcement follows Monday's Rochester City Council vote approving exclusive negotiations with Madison, Wisconsin-based Landmark Development. Landmark's vision includes new sports and multi-purpose venues anchored by partnerships with the Rochester Honkers, a new United States Hockey League expansion team, and Rochester FC — alongside retail, dining, and entertainment space for the surrounding community.
RFC Club President Midhat "Mido" Mujic shared his excitement about the news:
"An incredible opportunity for our city, community, and players! Thank you to the Landmark team for partnering with us to bring this amazing new venue to Rochester. The future of local sports is bright!"
Rochester FC has proudly called Rochester home since 2018, growing from its earliest youth teams into a club that now fields pre-professional men's and women's teams alongside a thriving Youth Academy. A dedicated home venue represents an exciting next chapter for the club's continued growth and its commitment to the Rochester community.
