From professional standards as all of our youth players wear official Adidas gear and are held to high standards during practices and games, they also have role models of our adult semi-professional soccer teams to look up to. And all our competitive program kids get into home matches for free!

More training and competitive opportunities throughout the year than traditional clubs. Between competitive seasons we offer MLS GO conditioning in winter(indoor) along with exclusive world class camps through partnerships from around the world and free local camps with our excellent RFC coaches!

MLS GO (for ages Ages 4-17) is Major League Soccer’s recreational youth program dedicated to providing an inclusive and high-quality soccer experience for all.

Our mission is to make soccer fun and affordable, ensuring more kids have the opportunity to play.

RFC Spring/Summer Competitive Program

At Rochester FC, we focus on developing the whole player: technical skills, tactical awareness, confidence, and character.
Our coaches are not only highly trained but also passionate mentors who care about each player’s journey.

FAQs

should i sign up for mls go or a
youth competitive league?

If you are new to Rochester FC, we recommend families start your kid(s) in our MLS go sessions. It's an 8 week commitment and helps you/your family get to know our coaches, staff & we can also see your child on the field. & make the next best recommendation.

what if my child was playing competitive at another soccer program?

It is great if your child comes with competitive soccer play & experience. However, if it's between our competitive leagues, we still recommend starting in an MLS GO session so we can meet you/your child & family & get the best sense of where they'll play. where can i learn more about the different programs - mls go rec vs. competitive?

Great question. If you scroll above, and click on each program image, you'll be taken to a page to learn more about MLS GO programs or our competitive leagues.

We also have periodic parent informational sessions, get on our newsletter to stay up to date or follow our youth soccer social media pages to updates.

How much does it cost to participate?

Cost will vary depending which program your child signs up for. MLS GO Rec 8 week program is ~$175/player while our competitive league is a longer commitment (~3 months) and $750+. Please click on each program icon above to learn more on exact cost.

When is MLS GO soccer played?

Seasons typically run in Spring, Fall, and we host indoor futsal in Winter seasons so your child can stay conditioned & play soccer year round!

What equipment do I need?

Players need only shin guards and cleats. Your registration includes a jersey, shorts, and socks,. Rochester FC provides soccer balls for practices and games.

What is the time commitment?

This will vary. For our MLS GO program it's one practice and one game/week during the week. Our competitive programs have a greater time commitment (typically 3 practices/week + 1 game/weekend or tournament) - click on each program above to learn more.

Is it possible to receive financial support for my kid?

Yes! We help cover the participation fees of individual players through our MLS GO PLAY FUND, an annual financial commitment from Major League Soccer (MLS) to expand access to youth recreational soccer. Learn more
